FAQ's
Wondering what it looks like to work with Amy as your Executive Coach? Below are some answers to the most common questions so you can feel confident in your decision.
How do I know if executive coaching is right for me?
Executive coaching is a confidential thought partner that supports leaders in gaining clarity, strengthening effectiveness, and navigating change. Amy works with senior leaders, emerging executives, and people leaders who are managing growth, transition, increased responsibility, or organizational change. Coaching is particularly valuable for those seeking a dedicated place to think strategically, examine patterns, and move forward with greater confidence and impact.

How do I get started and what does a coaching engagement look like?
The process begins with a brief 30-minute complimentary introductory conversation to understand goals and determine fit. Coaching engagements are customized based on individual or organizational needs and typically involve regular one-on-one sessions over a defined period of time, whether self-sponsored or organization-sponsored, and are structured to align with the leader’s role, priorities, and pace. Sessions are tailored and often focus on real situations clients are navigating in real time. Amy works virtually with clients across the United States and internationally, with flexibility to accommodate time zones as needed. In-person individual and group coaching options are available upon discussion.

What results can I expect from working with a coach?
Clients often experience increased clarity or “aha” moments, stronger decision-making, improved communication, and greater confidence in how they present themselves at work. Over time, this can show up as more effective leadership presence, healthier boundaries, improved team relationships, and a great understanding of workplace dynamics. While progress looks different for each client, many begin to notice meaningful shifts within the first few sessions.

What does it cost?
During the initial conversation, investment and engagement options are discussed. Clients can generally expect to commit to a minimum of five to six sessions over three to five months. Sessions may be held weekly or biweekly, with some clients beginning weekly, transitioning to biweekly, and, following the initial engagement, moving to an ongoing monthly commitment. Rates are comparable to professional services such as psychotherapy or other specialized coaching engagements.
Is coaching the same as psychotherapy? Is executive coaching the same as life coaching or career coaching?
Executive coaching is specifically tailored to a professional setting and focuses on topics such as managing change, building confidence, and navigating workplace situations effectively. Life coaching has a broader focus on personal development topics, while psychotherapy addresses mental health concerns and emotional well-being. Career coaching typically centers on topics such as resume development, LinkedIn optimization, and identifying roles that align with an individual’s skills, interests, and career goals.
